To be honest, I have a weird relationship with Sundays. Part of me dislikes them because it means the (short) weekend is coming to an end. The other part of me loves them because I get so much done.
I like to spend my Sundays relaxing and getting ready for the week ahead. I usually do some meal prep, laundry, and lots of pampering.
I also like to take time to connect with myself and those around me. I find that during the week it gets tough to hang out with friends, so I take every chance I get during the weekends.
I’m a firm believer that a Sunday well spent brings a week of content.
Strengthening my relationships
When the weather is nice, I like to spend some time outside soaking up the sun and playing with Ollie. But I won’t let a cloudy day deter me from having fun.
If it’s not that nice outside, like to drink some tea, lay on the couch with Kris and catch up on our favorite shows. Sometimes we go on walks to a mall or park and simply enjoy each other’s company.
We also take this time to visit his family, eat delicious Polish food, and let Ollie enjoy the backyard he so deserves.
Any way that I can connect with my loved ones makes for a wonderful day. And that is exactly one of my self-care Sunday goals.
Getting that glowing skin
Getting a facial every Sunday would be amazing, but alas not budget-friendly. So I make my own at-home spa.
I take this opportunity to put on face masks and relax on the couch. I personally love anything for sensitive skin, but have no preference between sheet masks or creams.
I highly recommend the Tone It Up Sea Algae clay mask or the L’Oreal Exfoliate & Refine clay mask to clean your skin and leave it soft and glowing.
For my eyes, the 24K Gold Eye Patches by Peter Thomas Roth are game-changers. They make my eyes look less puffy and way more awake!
I also like to start my day by ice rolling to de-puff my face and make me feel awake.
A bath is always a good idea, especially if you can find epsom salt or any other bath salts. They’re great when your feet are tired or swollen!
Whenever I take time to pamper my skin I truly see results that last the whole week. My skin feels soft and looks healthy, and I feel confident to take on the week ahead.
Meal prep Sunday
If you follow Tone It Up, you know the popular #MealPrepSunday. And that is exactly what my Sunday consists of.
Meal prepping really helps me stay on track of my nutrition. When I spend my Sundays cooking the meals for the week, I get a sense of relief.
Knowing that I will have lunches and snacks ready to go, and knowing that I get to come back home and have food ready to warm up is an amazing feeling.
Plus not to mention that meal prepping really helps me avoid mindless snacking!
I love the feeling of productivity that Sundays bring me. It’s a great time to rest, recharge, and plan for the week ahead.
I highly recommend having a self-care Sunday (or any other day) routine. It will help you reach your goals faster and make you feel more at ease.

My Sunday’s mostly go to whatever the weekend brings. Sometimes visiting my mom, sometimes going to conferences, sometimes sleeping in all morning. But overall I have not instituted things that would benefit me for the week when I do have the chance to do so. Great ideas to try to focus on loved ones, self pampering, and meal prep!

Happy to hear that! Going with the flow is also a good weekend plan, though. I love when I don’t make plans and just end up doing whatever I feel like doing!
