When I think of nachos I just think of friends gathering, having fun, and just enjoying each other’s company. It also reminds me of sporting events and overall a great time. With the Super Bowl approaching, I thought it was a great opportunity to share a loaded dairy-free nachos recipe. You can easily make it vegan by swapping the ground turkey for meatless meat or taking it out altogether. Alternatively, you can use dairy products and I’m sure it’ll taste just as good. Since dairy and I don’t get along too well, I went with the dairy-free option!
This recipe is perfect to share between two people as a meal or share as an appetizer between four or more people! Kris and I enjoyed it for dinner and while it was quite filling, it was so delicious. There’s something comforting about enjoying nachos at home. Perhaps it’s the fact that it reminded us of nights at B-Dubs or even Dave & Buster’s before we played some games (yes, we’re children). Maybe it’s the fact we’ve been cooped up at home for almost a year. Either way, give it a shot and just have fun!

- Place turkey in a pan on medium heat and season with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook thoroughly, about 10 minutes.
- While the meat cooks, prep the guacamole by mixing everything in a bowl (I used a mortar and pestle). I recommend trying it to ensure it's exactly how you like it. Sometimes it may need a bit more salt or lime juice.
- Place tortilla chips on a plate and load everything up. I started with the cheese, then the turkey, sour cream, salsa, and finished it with guac. Enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed this loaded dairy-free nachos recipe. Let me know what you think in the comments section and any other favorite “game day” food. Perhaps some nice cream for dessert?
