I love eating pizza, however, as I mentioned here I have a very sensitive stomach and have had to make changes to what I eat to prioritize healthy eating.
That’s why I love making a healthy cauliflower crust pizza for our weekly pizza nights.
I don’t eat dairy in the US (for some reason it makes me sick only in this country), so my healthy cauliflower crust pizza recipe includes vegan cheese.
Usually Saturdays are our pizza nights and it’s a great way for Kris and I to spend time together as he helps me make my own pizza.
He usually buys a pre-made one, and we both make mine.
Healthy Cauliflower Crust Pizza Recipe
Every Saturday I try to change my pizza up a bit, but for this blog post I wanted to share the most basic version of it since my favorite pizza is quite controversial.
If you guessed it, my answer is pineapple belongs on pizza and a “Hawaiian” pizza is my absolute favorite.
But I won’t put you through a pineapple pizza unless you absolutely want to. In that case comment below or slide into my DMs.
Also, please just tell me if you’re team pineapple on pizza or not. I know it can be a heated topic but pineapple on pizza is so common in Colombia I was shocked that people dislike it in the US.
Anywho, a few other notes on this pizza recipe.
I personally use Caulipower for the crust but I also love Trader Joe’s cauliflower pizza crust.
If you want to make it with dairy-free cheese, my favorites are Follow Your Heart and Violife.
Also not included in this recipe is the kale or spinach I usually add to my tomato pizza.
Like I mentioned, this is the most basic pizza recipe but I wanted to share how I make it healthier by swapping the crust for a cauliflower version and using dairy-free cheese.
Feel free to adapt it to your taste and let me know in the comments what your favorite pizza is and what you think of pineapple on pizza.
