As 2018 comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on this year’s successes and improvements.
This year was absolutely amazing. I discovered The Barre Code, fully committed to my first Tone It Up challenge, Kris and I got married, we moved to Miami, got wonderful jobs, and are loving our life!
I honestly can’t imagine how 2019 can get any better, but I am very excited to see.
I do have some resolutions from 2018 that I want to keep working on in 2019, as well as some new year resolutions.
This is my personal list, but I have a feeling some of these might resonate with others.
Be Kinder
In 2019 I want to be kinder to others, but mostly to myself.
Kindness costs absolutely nothing, but it brings so much.
Whether it’s helping others, or being more patient and understanding, I want to help spread a little kindness in this world.
However, I know that you can’t fill someone else’s cup if yours isn’t full.
In 2019 let’s commit to loving ourselves more. That includes being more patient with ourselves and being our own cheerleaders.
Let go of any expectations and enjoy your life just as it is, without bringing yourself down.
Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate
I struggle a lot with hydration.
I’ll go weeks drinking lots of water, and then weeks barely drinking enough water.
Staying hydrated is incredibly important for your body to function properly.
It also helps your skin glow, improves your digestion, and gives you a lot more energy.
In 2019 I want to commit to drinking at least half my body weight in ounces, daily.
My tip? Buy a cute water bottle you can take with you everywhere to help!
The 80/20 rule
Have you heard of the 80/20 rule? Eat clean 80% of the time and cut yourself some slack for the remaining 20%?
I want to make sure I find that balance.
Sometimes I struggle with nutrition, especially when there isn’t a TIU challenge going on.
My goal is to keep up with the TIU nutrition plan, explore new recipes, and keep it lean, clean, and green.
Keep Growing
My goal in life is to never get too comfortable.
I want to keep growing by embracing challenges and exploring new opportunities.
I’m excited to continue my Barre Code instructor training, and can’t wait to see what else I can be a part of.
I’m hoping to get more involved in the Miami blogging community, as well as explore more places to share here.
I’d love to hear what your 2019 new year resolutions are so we can keep each other accountable. Feel free to share them below or send me a DM on Insta!
